I do love painting with oils. Oil paints have more pigment in them, allowing richer, more vivid colors and they do not darken as they dry. They are also very versatile in that you can add thinners and more oil to vary the consistency of the paint, so you can use many different techniques, such as blending, glazing and scumbling.
